Music Group

Singing at both Masses is supported by a music group served singers and instrumentalists of all ages. 

All instrumentalists and singers are welcome: speak to the organist after Mass or contact the Parish Office. 

Volunteers to sing the psalm are also welcome.

History of the Group

The music group was founded in September 1981 for the Sunday 9.30 Mass. Folk style music had previously been provided by the McEntagart sisters. Since then the group has been served by more than 100 young people and adults who have given their time faithfully each Sunday to serve the Parish in the music ministry. Combinations of over 20 different instruments have varied the sound of the group over the years.

The Music Group continues to flourish; in recent times there have been fewer instrumentalists but an increasing number of singers and cantors. The Music Group  now serves both Masses with some musicians at each Mass.
