CAFOD is part of the Catholic CARITAS International family network. Inspired by Jesus’ teaching, we call for prayer and practical actions such as sharing gifts and faith messages. We do this to bring about hope, through compassion and solidarity to relieve the suffering for some of our most vulnerable sisters and brothers who live overseas.
When international disasters and humanitarian emergencies occur, we enable the Catholic community in England & Wales to respond swiftly and effectively through the provision of lifesaving funds for support.
We work in partnership with local experts for longer-term projects and more resilient livelihoods. In the face of climate change and increasing conflict, sustainable projects help to protect and regenerate our precious God-given environment.
CAFOD helps us become better informed about the underlying causes of global poverty and to raise our voices to call on those with the power to bring about change for a better world for all.
CAFOD brings people together to answer God’s call for a better world. A world unlimited by injustice or poverty, where more of us find ways to turn hope to joy. We create it through our energy, our gifts, our voices, and our prayers. Because a better world needs all of us.
Our prayers and liturgies sustain all we do together. The regional CAFOD Leeds & Hallam Office is situated in the basement of the presbytery. The office team would be happy to respond to your enquiries:
