Faith and Light is an international, Christian charity whose aim is to help people with special needs and to support their families. The society came into being following the concern of John Vanier who organised a worldwide pilgrimage of some 12,000 pilgrims to Lourdes in 1971. There are now 70 communities in different countries and as many groups in the U.K. The Sheffield community meets monthly in various churches throughout the city where we share Mass or a similar celebration followed by social activities and shared refreshments.
