THE EPIPHANY OF THE LORD is celebrated this weekend, being transferred from Tuesday.  Once again we hear the story of the Wise Men who embarked on a long and hazardous journey in search of the Christ-child.  What made them wise?  It was the fact that, whereas His own people didn’t want to know Him, they recognised this child as the Saviour of the world.  What led us here today? What does Christ mean to us?

PLEASE REMEMBER IN YOUR PRAYERS: Sick: Linda Watts, Jill King, baby Emily Louise Evans, Michael Doherty, Thomas Byrne, Rebecca Budgen, Bob Kelly, Zish Szewczyk, June Klempner, Lena Hogan, Susan Hancey, Michael Smyth, Rene Hennessy, Jim Reddington.

Recently Dead: Philip Molloy & Stephen Burnett. Anniversaries: Agnes Garbutt, Dorothy Kent, John Ruddy, Bella Doyle, Ron Stone, Doreen Sillitoe, Rupert Woodcraft, Hilaire D’Roza, Larry Stones, Don Clover, Winifred Wildsmith, Elizabeth Brown, Noel D’Roza, Paddy Carew, Imelda Brown & Devlin Kelly.  May they rest in peace.
